One of my favorite little monkeys. This sweetie is growing up at a record speed. One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is the opportunity to watch a child grow and to share in their childhood. Jaxon has always been a friendly, happy little soul … and pretty silly on top of that.

I’m am incredibly thankful for the amazing weather we experienced in Michigan this year. Out of 100+ photo sessions, only 5 had to be rescheduled because of weather. Outstanding! I’m also thankful for my family, who miraculously has survived while mom has been engulfed in her business these past couple of months. My brain is mush these days, so I’ll spare you the pain of reading any further.

A must-share from one of my favorite little families. These boys are super goofy, sweet and fun … and it all comes straight from their amazing parents. I’m still baffled that in under 45 minutes we were able to shoot a family of four with two boys ages four and two, AND create some of my favorite images. Gotta love it.

Sigh … a happy sigh, of course. As a photographer, I’m not sure it gets better than having a 5 year old who is loving her session more than the photographer … even posing herself better than the photographer. Total dream session yesterday, and there’s simply no way that I can put this session in the 3-4 week wait to blogged. It must happen now. Period. Tracy, you are a dear friend, and I can’t thank you enough for bringing this little peach to see me. So much fun.

I love this boy … a lot. He’s a little rocker genius at only age three! Shy the minute he saw me and remained shy and quiet until the moment the drum sticks were in his hands. Boom! Then he was a changed boy … singing, dancing, drummin’, strummin’. It was awesome!

So lucky to have a chance to photograph this sweet family again. They’ve added an adorable new addition since the last visit. These sweet sisters with their beautiful eyes and pouty lips are going to keep their daddy very busy one day.

Little Connor is non-stop giggles and silly faces. One year olds are so incredibly fun to shoot. Wanted to scoop this one up and tuck him away in my camera bag.

These boys are so silly and fun and completely full of energy. In the matter of an hour, the boys managed to play with chalk and bubbles, swing and zip down the slide a bunch, run through the corn, play in the sandbox and even eat a popcycle. Tired, yet? Can’t help but love them to death, though. They are so darn cute!

A family that plays together, stays together. This certainly holds true for the M family. Not only do have have a great time just hanging out or going for walks, they are all extremely musically inclined and enjoy playing together. I met this family about 10 years ago. They are old friends of my husband’s and we all immediately clicked back then. Well, let me tell you, I hope that 10 years let alone 10 months don’t pass before we hang out again. I love each of them. Their music blows my mind. All of them are going great places. Thanks, M family, for a wonderful evening. Can’t wait till we get our families together.
