Kaylee and her crooked smile.  I love her so much!  This little peanut belongs to my dear cousin who has been stationed with her army husband in Germany for the past two years.  Kaylee was born there, and this trip home was her first encounter with her huge extended family in U.S.  She’s incredibly lovable and sweet.  We’re all going to miss this little family when they head back to Germany in a couple weeks.  Time to savor the moments.

A wee bit early, but still sincere.  I decided to gift myself this Valentine’s Day with some creative, free-time with the camera.  Here’s what came of it …

Two sisters, a friend and an unbelievably fun photo shoot.   Yes, it was frigid, but the light was soft and beautiful, and the girls looked amazing.  Had this been a warm summer night, I’m not sure that we would have been able to stop.  It was such a good time.   Thanks, ladies.

No, the title is not a typo.  “Slodding” is a very fun winter pastime for my family … dating way back to my childhood (yes, hundreds of years ago).  Sleds + Quad = Slodding.  Is it safe?  Ummm … not sure.  Should you try this at home?  Hmmm … probably not.  Today my dad and my kids had a pretty awesome time out in the snow.  Here’s a snippet from their adventure:
