Family Fun.

Had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with another simply adorable family.  I embarrassingly admit that I stumbled over their names throughout the entire shoot.  (Where’s the blushing icon when needed?)

Thanks to Jennie, my lovely job shadow, who helped along the way this day and really made me wish that I assistant more often.

3 Amazing Sessions. 1 Blog Post.

To save your inboxes from a mass overload of emails from JVP, I’m going to devote one post to 3 incredible recent sessions.  Loved each family.  Loved each location.  Loved all the moments.  Enjoy!

These 2 little guys were complete opposites this day.  The littlest was up for wherever life took him … nothing mattered … just chilled throughout the whole session.  Older brother, however, was on a mission of his own, and he led me all over the farm.  Good fun and I’m so glad the weather stayed decent for us.  No more rescheduling.  Yay!

This next adorable family has been with me almost since the beginning.  The kids are drop dead gorgeous and so incredibly spunky.  Mom is a good friend with fantastic style.  I had a hard time deciding which to post here because I’m so in love with a bunch.  Enjoy, Nicole!

This one was just too funny …

Finally, I had my endurance tested by a couple of the cutest brothers on the planet.  I think they thought they could manage to escape me, but haha! the photographer prevailed, and we captured some darling moments.  :)

Phew … if you’ve made it this far, thanks so much for viewing.  Have a good one!

Grandpa time.

This session was very special because it contained two age groups which a) are rarely photographed and b) are even more rarely photographed together.  Teens and Grandpa.  I’m totally stealing this idea with my own Grandpa and children.  What a great way to treasure moments, time and age often left unseen!

This weekend.

I shall spare your inboxes this weekend by combining sessions into one post.  What a super fun session weekend this was!  Starting with the amazing Maegan and Casey who came to document their engagement.  Congrats, guys!

And then I had the sheer pleasure of spending part of my afternoon with Anna.  I left their house wishing I could clone her about 5 times over.  She was every photographer’s dream come true.  Enjoy your sneaky peaky!

And just when you thought I was finished … I was recently tagged by a fellow friend and blogger, Bonnie, with the task of “7 Things Me” … i.e. blogging about 7 things you may not know about me.
The rules:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 7 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post.
4. Pass on the tag.

 So, here we go:
1.  I attended a private high school, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, and lived in the dorms all four years.    Slightly scary at first, but wouldn’t trade my H.S. experience for the world.
2.  I have broken many bones in my lifetime … are you ready? … 6 bones at 6 different times in my life.  And I’ve always loved milk!  Go figure!
3.  I don’t have cable TV or satellite in my home.  *gasp*  We still us good ‘ol rabbit ears.  Though, we’ll sort of have to step out of the dark ages soon and get an HD box.  Bummer, I like it here in the dark.
4.  I despise laundry and grocery shopping.  Great housewife, aren’t I?
5.  If I had endless funds for clothes shopping, I’d spend lots of time at Boden, Garnet Hill, Sundance and Anthropology.  I love browsing those stores.
6.  I MUST have at least one cup of coffee each morning.  I’ve sadly become an old, coffee addicted adult.  You know, the ones who always seemed slightly “off” to you when you were a kid?  Yeah, that’s me.
7.  I love summer … hot … humidity … sun … warmth, and really REALLY don’t like to be cold.
I now tag:  Kim, Tif,  Jennifer, Melissa, Therese, Corey, and Jen.  :)

Family Photo Day.

I did it.  Finally.  It happened.  We as a collective family of 5 dedicated a small part of our day to family photos.  *gasp*  Sadly, this is the very first time all 5 of us have been in the same frame together.  It’s been a long time coming.  I *puffy heart* my family.

Here’s my favorite (though surprisingly, I’m happy with quite a few):
