This weekend.

I shall spare your inboxes this weekend by combining sessions into one post.  What a super fun session weekend this was!  Starting with the amazing Maegan and Casey who came to document their engagement.  Congrats, guys!

And then I had the sheer pleasure of spending part of my afternoon with Anna.  I left their house wishing I could clone her about 5 times over.  She was every photographer’s dream come true.  Enjoy your sneaky peaky!

And just when you thought I was finished … I was recently tagged by a fellow friend and blogger, Bonnie, with the task of “7 Things Me” … i.e. blogging about 7 things you may not know about me.
The rules:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 7 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post.
4. Pass on the tag.

 So, here we go:
1.  I attended a private high school, Michigan Lutheran Seminary, and lived in the dorms all four years.    Slightly scary at first, but wouldn’t trade my H.S. experience for the world.
2.  I have broken many bones in my lifetime … are you ready? … 6 bones at 6 different times in my life.  And I’ve always loved milk!  Go figure!
3.  I don’t have cable TV or satellite in my home.  *gasp*  We still us good ‘ol rabbit ears.  Though, we’ll sort of have to step out of the dark ages soon and get an HD box.  Bummer, I like it here in the dark.
4.  I despise laundry and grocery shopping.  Great housewife, aren’t I?
5.  If I had endless funds for clothes shopping, I’d spend lots of time at Boden, Garnet Hill, Sundance and Anthropology.  I love browsing those stores.
6.  I MUST have at least one cup of coffee each morning.  I’ve sadly become an old, coffee addicted adult.  You know, the ones who always seemed slightly “off” to you when you were a kid?  Yeah, that’s me.
7.  I love summer … hot … humidity … sun … warmth, and really REALLY don’t like to be cold.
I now tag:  Kim, Tif,  Jennifer, Melissa, Therese, Corey, and Jen.  :)

Family Photo Day.

I did it.  Finally.  It happened.  We as a collective family of 5 dedicated a small part of our day to family photos.  *gasp*  Sadly, this is the very first time all 5 of us have been in the same frame together.  It’s been a long time coming.  I *puffy heart* my family.

Here’s my favorite (though surprisingly, I’m happy with quite a few):

Matilda Jane Trunk Show - this Thursday!

First off, so sorry for the double email.  Not sure what happened there.  *blush*

This Thursday (9/25) is a VERY exciting day.  I will be hosting a Matilda Jane Trunk Show, a clothing line featuring whimsical, funky, vintage-like pieces.  So adorable!!! (and especially fun to photograph!)  The line is mostly designed for girls, sizes 6M-10 … though there is a small, super cute selection for woman.  Check out the Matilda Jane Blog for lots of photos and updates.  Contact me ASAP if you’d like a last minute invite.

2008 Availability … get it while it’s hot!

Wanted to give a quick update on my 2008 availability.  It’s limited, folks.  I will only be booking 3-4 more full sessions in November.  I will also take 3-4 Christmas Mini Sessions.  (September and October are full.)    I can’t even believe that talk of the end of the year is already happening.  Can time fly any faster?  Thank you to everyone who helped make these past 9 months so incredibly fun and successful.  :)

So, contact me today to book your 2008 photo session.

Monday at 11:44am …

… I will have a handful of handmade necklaces for sale.  Took a slight creative detour and designed a few jewelry pieces.  Why 11:44am, you ask?  I belong to an amazing group of work-at-home-moms who get together every once and awhile, create and sell our goodies together.  They really are an amazingly talented bunch.  Random Eclipse is the name of the store.  Our stocking times tend to align with either the sun and moon patterns, and tomorrow at 11:44am the September Equinox occurs.  Don’t miss the goodies.  They may go fast. :)
