Fun kids.

My wonderful and extremely talented friend, Natalie Bacon, came to me for a session with her three kids.  Supposedly, this bunch has a bad case of PCS (Photographer’s Children Syndrome.)  If you’re not familiar with PCS, it develops in children of photographers who spend much of their childhood in front of the camera.  Soon a pretty intense aversion to the camera grows resulting in mom never getting great shots of her own kids.  Instead of smiles, moms of kids with PCS get tongues sticking out, the backs as they run away, tears, scowls … you get the point.

Anyway, it was my job to get her children all in the same frame, smiling and having a good time.  Talk about a challenge!  Turns out, the kids were awesome, super fun and loving our time together.  They were seriously a breeze.  :)  I’m totally inspired to do the same with my kids.

Thanks, Natalie!

Scheduling Update.

Summer scheduling at Jess VanLue Photography has completely filled.  Space will be made for newborns (within first 10 days of life) only.  Huge, big, overwhelming thanks to my wonderful and supportive clients.  This year has proven to be so much fun!  I’m truly excited for all the July and August sessions ahead.  :)

I’m now booking for September and October.  If you’re a 2010 Senior or someone interested in getting yourself, your child or your family in front of the camera before Christmas, I encourage you to plan early.  Please email or call to book your session 4-6 weeks in advance in order to guarantee your desired day.

There wouldn’t be a busy schedule without all my past clients whose lovely praise and word-of-mouth helped grow this business.  So just for fun, here’s a blast-from-the-past photo collage.  Thanks to you all! ~ Jess V.

Brooke.

I again had the privilege to photograph another stunning high school senior.  Brooke’s humbleness is as great as her beauty.  She deserves a huge round of applause for managing to look gorgeous and comfortable as we shot in the 95 degree weather.  Ack!  Aside from the heat and traffic craziness in Bay City, our session was total fun.  :)  Thank you Amy (Brooke’s mom) for all of your help.  I hope you’ve rested and recovered.

Jill.

Huge amounts of fun had at this senior photo session.  The weather was just right, the mosquitos stayed away, and Jill knew exactly how to work the camera.  This was the second time down to their property.  I had the pleasure of having a senior session with her brother, Jacob, last summer.  I love this family!  So sad that kids are done with photos.  I say a doggie session is in order next year.  Jeannie, you with me?  :)  Haha.
