Merry Christmas!

Icy.
I really, really dislike the cold, but how can I fully reject winter when God gives us this beauty?

Maddy.
Maddy’s session was the final high school senior session for 2009. We went out on such a great note. She’s one of those girls that just gets it when it comes to photography and posing. We had a blast, the weather was totally cooperative, and I love her photos. Thanks Amy and Maddy (and Dakota!)

Lyvia :: In Black and White
Sweet, sweet Lyvia and her wonderful expressions. Her squishy cheeks and sparkly eyes made me want to gobble her up. I’m loving her photos in black and white and wanted to share a few. Enjoy!

Lovely Lily.
A couple weeks before the session, I had bumped into Lily and her mother. Lily was as adorable as ever, but I immediately noticed that not only was she lovely, she was also determined and a bit shy. I knew at that moment that our session together was going to take some extra attention. After raising a 2 year old of my own who could ignore a stranger like no other, I admit I was a bit nervous about getting smiles and naturalness with Lily.
Well, let me tell you, beyond Lily’s shyness is the sweetest little soul who loves to play and pretend. It took a bit of playing on the floor first in order for her to warm up, but once she was comfortable, she was a shining star.
